Question 1

What is permanent jewelry?

Accepted Answer

Permanent jewelry is a piece of jewelry that's custom-fitted to you and welded closed rather than using a traditional clasp. Bracelets are the most popular choice, but permanent jewelry can also be worn as anklets, necklaces, rings, and more. The result is a seamless piece you can wear every day without having to put it on or take it off.

Question 2

Does getting permanent jewelry hurt?

Accepted Answer

Nope! The welding itself takes only a moment and is generally painless. We use a specialized welding process to close the connecting ring, rather than welding the chain to your skin. You may see a tiny spark, but that's about it.

Question 3

How long does permanent jewelry last?

Accepted Answer

Permanent jewelry is designed for everyday wear and can last for years with proper care, but no piece of jewelry is completely indestructible. Your chain's longevity depends on the chain itself, how you wear it, and your everyday activities.

Question 4

Can I shower, sleep, swim, and exercise with permanent jewelry?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Permanent jewelry is designed to be worn as part of your everyday routine, including activities like showering, sleeping, exercising, and swimming. That said, treat it like you would any other piece of jewelry. Avoid unnecessary pulling, snagging, or exposing it to harsh chemicals whenever possible.

Question 5

What happens if my permanent jewelry breaks?

Accepted Answer

If your Oh She Linked chain comes apart at the weld and you still have the chain, we'll reweld it for free. If you purchased your permanent jewelry somewhere else, we offer a one-time $10 reweld fee — or the fee is waived when you purchase a new piece from us at the same time.

Question 6

How much does permanent jewelry cost?

Accepted Answer

Bracelets start at $29 for PVD stainless steel, $49 for sterling silver, and $59 for 14K gold filled. Anklets start at $39, and necklaces start at $49. Charms are $20 each (or two for $30), rings are $25, and adding a clasp is $10. We also offer exclusive event-only specials at our private events and pop-ups.

Question 7

Can I book Oh She Linked for a private event?

Accepted Answer

Yes! We offer permanent jewelry events for weddings, bridal parties, private parties, celebrations, corporate events, and pop-ups throughout West Michigan. Private events require a minimum of 10 jewelry purchases and a $100 reservation fee to reserve your date.
